Use Sandbrockshare with your AI assistant

Before you start

You need a Sandbrockshare account. Every assistant connects to the same server URL:

https://sandbrockshare.com/api/mcp

When you connect, Sandbrockshare opens in your browser. Sign in and approve access. Your assistant can then search listings, check your sharing, see what neighbors are asking for, and save drafts for you to review. It never publishes, pays, or messages anyone for you.

Claude

Custom connectors work on every Claude plan. The Free plan allows one.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Choose +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it Sandbrockshare and paste the server URL. Leave the advanced settings empty. If Claude asks how to sign in, choose Sign in now.
  4. Choose Add, then Connect.
  5. Sign in to Sandbrockshare and approve access.
  6. In a chat, choose +, then Connectors, and turn on Sandbrockshare.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner adds the connector in the organization's settings, then each member chooses Connect. A connector you add on the web or desktop also works in the Claude mobile apps.

ChatGPT

Works on the web with Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans.

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Security and login, and turn on Developer mode. If you don't see it, skip this step.
  2. Open Plugins in the sidebar. Choose Add, then Create MCP App.
  3. Name it Sandbrockshare. Under Connection, paste the server URL. Under Authentication, choose OAuth.
  4. Check I understand and want to continue, then choose Create.
  5. Choose Connect, then sign in to Sandbrockshare and approve access.
  6. In a chat, type @Sandbrockshare, or choose + and pick it.

On Business, Enterprise, and Edu plans, a workspace admin first allows custom MCP connectors in the workspace settings.

Grok

  1. Open grok.com/connectors.
  2. Choose New Connector, then Custom.
  3. Name it Sandbrockshare, paste the server URL, and choose Add Connector.
  4. Sign in to Sandbrockshare and approve access.
  5. In a chat, choose +, then Connectors, and pick Sandbrockshare.

On Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin adds the connector first.

Gemini

Custom apps work in Gemini Spark. You need a Google AI Pro or Ultra plan and a personal Google account, and you add the app on a computer.

  1. Open gemini.google.com, choose Settings & help, then Connected Apps.
  2. Under Custom apps for Spark, choose Add a custom app.
  3. Paste the server URL and choose Next.
  4. Sign in to Sandbrockshare and approve access.
  5. In Spark, type @ and pick Sandbrockshare.

Using Gemini CLI instead? Add the server to settings.json, then run /mcp auth sandbrockshare to sign in:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sandbrockshare": {
      "httpUrl": "https://sandbrockshare.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Mistral Le Chat

  1. In Le Chat, open Connectors from the sidebar.
  2. Choose + Add Connector, then the Custom MCP Connector tab.
  3. Enter sandbrockshare as the connector name, with no spaces, and paste the server URL.
  4. Choose Connect, then sign in to Sandbrockshare and approve access.
  5. In a chat, choose + or type /, then Tools, and turn on Sandbrockshare.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an admin adds the connector.

Cursor

Add to Cursor
  1. Choose Add to Cursor. Cursor opens and offers to install a server named Sandbrockshare.
  2. Choose Install.
  3. When Cursor asks, sign in to Sandbrockshare and approve access.

You can also add the server yourself. Put this in ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project, or in .cursor/mcp.json for one:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sandbrockshare": {
      "url": "https://sandbrockshare.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code and GitHub Copilot

Sandbrockshare works in Copilot's agent mode.

From the MCP Registry. Sandbrockshare's registry entry is com.sandbrockshare/sandbrockshare. When your MCP server gallery lists it, search @mcp sandbrockshare in the Extensions view and choose Install.

From settings. Open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server. Choose HTTP, paste the server URL, and enter sandbrockshare as the server ID. Or add this to .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "sandbrockshare": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://sandbrockshare.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

When VS Code says the server wants to authenticate, choose Allow, then sign in to Sandbrockshare and approve access. In the Chat view, pick Agent and turn on the Sandbrockshare tools.

On Copilot Business and Enterprise, an admin turns on the MCP servers in Copilot policy first.

Disconnect

To sign an assistant out, open Settings, then Developer, and choose Revoke next to it under Connected assistants. You can also remove the connector in the assistant. See MCP: Security for how access ends.
